Canadian retailer to relaunch brand across Canada

Retailer M&M Meat Shops has hired Cossette as its new national creative agency in Canada.

Cossette won the business following an agency review that concluded at the end of 2015. The assignment does not involve media planning and buying, which remains with OMD Canada.

“We were impressed with Cossette’s creative and strategic thinking and felt there was great chemistry between our team and theirs,” says Allan Lindsay, VP Marketing and Technical Services for M&M Meat Shops.

M&M conducted the review in preparation of a major brand relaunch, beginning this Spring.

“M&M Meat Shops is an iconic Canadian brand with a rich history and stores from coast to coast that are dedicated to helping busy families find high quality and nutritious meal solutions.  We offer a full range of products, combined with the expert advice of our in-store meal advisors to help our customers and their families eat well,” says Lindsay.

“With today’s busy lifestyles and the ever-increasing demands on consumers’ time and budgets, what we have to offer is more relevant than ever before and we are excited to introduce the new M&M to both new and existing customers across the country,” he adds.

M&M Meat Shops celebrated its 35th anniversary as a Canadian retailer last year. Stores offer nearly 400 products in over 350 retail stores across Canada.

The company carries high quality foods across a vast array of product categories ranging from single-servings to family size options, including vegetables, side dishes, seafood, chicken, beef, pork, desserts, appetizers, pizza and a range of fully prepared meals.

A full marketing and relaunch campaign will begin to roll out beginning this Spring.
